Reginald Andrew Bates was born October 24, 1967, in Montgomery, Alabama. He was the first born of 4 children, Reoma Lamar Bates, Rosalynn Dean and Forresta Stoudemire. He is the son of Sylvester Bates and Roslyn Bates.
He graduated from Prattville High School in 1986. On July 29, 1987, he enlisted in the military, where he served honorably as a control instrument repairman. Later on, he became a Master Brickmason.
At an early age, he accepted Jesus Christ and joined Bethlehem CME Church, where he was a member. On Tuesday, February 21, 2023, he departed this life at his home in Phenix City, Alabama. Reginald enjoyed watching football and baseball. He also enjoyed shopping and eating sunflower seeds. His favored pastime was spending time with his friends and family.
He leaves to cherish his memories to his four children, Marquis D. Ashe, Kimone Bates, Kalysia Bates and Tristan T. Bates. He also leaves to reflect on his memories to his siblings, nieces and nephews, closes dear friends of 50 years, Rico Baily, Nova Bailey, Chris Faulkner, Kevin Dozier and a host of other family and friends.
