Rev. Dr. Robert Robinson Obituary

Rev. Dr. Robert Lee Robinson was born on September 10, 1937 to the late Julius and Exie Lee Crawford Robinson.

His mission was finished and his rewards ahead as he departed his earthly life on Sunday, January 10, 2021 at Prattville Baptist Hospital.

He was a member of Cornerstone Christian Ministry in Montgomery, Alabama, under the leadership of Rev. Edward Chappell.

Rev. Robinson was a sincere and heartfelt Christian and during his early life he served as an usher and deacon at Pilgrim Rest Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Rev. W. L. Marvin.

In January1972, he was given evidence that God had called him into The Gospel Ministry.  As a humble leader for God, he has seen the lightning flashing, he has heard the thunder roll , he has felt the breakers dashing and he stood like a tree planted by the rivers of water and was not moved by the chastening winds or troubles.

He enjoyed working for Gurney Manufacturing Company, Pennwalt Corporation and his last employer, Lab Corporation as a courier.  He was truly a "Man of God" who enjoyed his work and loved the people he served.  He had the honor of being the pastor at Big Roxanna, Rock Creek, Baptist Hill, Mt. Olive, Sardus Baptist Church, Isabella Baptist church and Lily Hill Baptist Church.  He was pastor and founder of Cornerstone Christian Ministry.

Rev. Robinson was married to the love of his life, First Lady Mrs. Willie Mae Robinson for sixty years.  They eagerly praised and worshiped God together, dined at many restaurants, shared many home cooked meals, visited the sick, bereaved and despondent, went shopping and spent much leisure and quality time together.  They also liked spending valuable time with family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Willie Mae Robinson, siblings, John A. Robinson, Edward "Steve" Robinson, Julius Robinson, Jr., Doris Johnson, Marquerite Williams, Jessie Mae Pickett, Dorothy Cade and Jessie Pearl Jenkins; granddaughter, Trelisa Nicole Clay; nieces, Barbara Howard, Wendy Shaw and Luneta Bryant; nephew, Rev. Chester Robinson; great niece, Ashley Marie Mitchell; great nephew, Eric Robinson; uncle, Willie Robinson and step-mother, Hattie Robinson.
