Robert Lee Baldwin, Jr., affectionately known by many as "Bob", was born on October 4, 1937 to the late Robert Baldwin, Sr., and Dotsie Mcleod in Raleigh, North Carolina. Robert was an only child.
Robert and his late wife Ida Elmore Baldwin and young children migrated from Bronx, New York to Prattville, Alabama. After arriving in Prattville Robert joined the Mount Sinai Missionary Baptist Church where he was a devoted member until failing health. Robert worked many years at Continental Bush Hog where he met and enjoyed the friendship of many co-workers. Robert enjoyed attending the Mt. Sinai Senior Center. On February 28, 2020, the Lord called him to rest from his labor.
Robert leaves to cherish his memories to his children, four sons Gregory (Vivian) Baldwin of Clarksville, TN, Mark and Johnathon Baldwin of Prattville, AL., and Danny Baldwin of Bronx, New York; two daughters Cynthia (Milton) Lucas of Prattville, AL, Helena Baldwin of Bronx, New York. He leaves to reflect on his memories, two brothers-in-law Oscar (Dessie) Elmore of Rockford, IL, and Willie D. Elmore of Prattville, AL; two sisters-in-law, Lavonia Whitaker and Cassandra (Jimmy) Morris both of Prattville, AL.
He also leaves to cherish memorable times, his five grandchildren, one special uncle, Leroy McCleod of Brooklyn, New York and a special cousin, Ellen Richardson of Raleigh, NC; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and devoted friends.
