Celebrating the Life of Robert Earnest Butler

On Saturday, March 10, 1945 in Autauga County, Alabama, the Lord blessed Charlie Butler, Jr. and Ardell DeRamus-Butler with their third child whom they named Robert Earnest Butler.
These immediate family members preceded me in Death:
My Father-Charlie Butler, Jr.-My Brother-Charles Lee Butler- My Brother Odell Butler, My Sister-Emma Jean Butler-Arthur and My Son-Ronald Butler.
I leave to celebrate My Home Going: My dear loving wife Susan , My loving mother Ardell Butler, Detroit, MI and loving daughter Alisa Butler-Franklin-CA, Step-son Patrick (Kelly) Williams-FL.
Siblings: James (Carolyn) Butler-South Carolina, Sharon (Jimmy) Randolph-Detroit, MI-Randy Butler, Detroit, MI, and Donald Butler-Prattville, AL.
Grandchildren: Arkita, Nicole, and Christopher, .
Step-grandchildren: Ma'Tae, Ma'Kayla, and Ma'Ryah.

Aunts: Margaret DeRamus-GA and Willie Pearl DeRamus, Chattanooga, TN.
Two Special Cousins: Zebrah Smith, Lovetta Churchill.
Two Special Friends: Rufus Wonders and Jimmy Mack.
A God Son Brandon Coby Gibbons and a host of Cousins, Nieces, Nephews, Friends, Sisters and Brothers in Christ.

THE LIFE OF ROBERT EARNEST BUTLER
Robert confessed his belief in his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ at an early age and was Baptized at East Lake Baptist Church where he was active in many Youth Ministries. Robert was educated in Detroit Public School system, graduating 1963. Robert worked at the General Motors Cadillac Motor Car Division in Detroit prior to relocating to Oakland, California in 1965 and joined the U.S. Army ranked Sgt. 1st Class. Robert subsequently relocated to his birth community in Autauga County, Alabama where he joined the Mount Sinai Missionary Baptist Church, Prattville, AL. He begin working working at the church on the Usher Board Ministry, the Children Church Ministry, the Male Chorus and started the first recording and Video Ministry.
Robert worked with the Youth ministry and sponsored the "Toys 4 Tots" Marines Christmas Toys give away for Kids in the community yearly.
He was active on the Board of Directors at White Water Camp.
Robert was a gifted singer, ho begin singing at his church in Detroit and also who sung with the group "The Mighty Passion" in Los Angeles, CA.
He loved to cook and was a restaurant owner. After moving to Alabama, he became an Entrepreneur of variety of businesses and he owned and operated a recording studio. In Alabama is where he met and married his lovely wife of 10 years, Susan Williams Butler.
