Mr. Robert Lee Williams A.K.A. “Darrell(Pretty Boy)” was born on May 27, 1957 to the late Carrie Bell Williams and Eddie Slayton of Prattville, Alabama. Darrell dedicated his life to Christ at an early age at Pilgrim Rest Missionary Baptist Church, Prattville, Alabama under the leadership of Reverend T. L. Goodwin; he later moved his membership to First Missionary Baptist Church, Prattville, under the leadership of Reverend Fred Gray where he was a faithful member until God dispatched his holy Angels to bring him home to be with him.
Darrell was preceded in death by his mother: Carrie Bell Williams; his father: Eddie Slayton; three siblings: Susie Jackson, Elbert Cowling, and Hercules Cowling; one granddaughter: Shaquina Pickett.
Darrell leaves everlastings memories to a loving, caring, committed and devoted wife of forty-three years Willie Mae Williams; one daughter: Pamela (Lorenzo) Pickett; one granddaughter: Karisa (Jarvis) Nixon; two great grandchildren: Amya and Braylen Gardner; six sisters: Alice Mae (Dillard) Wallace, Cincinnati, OH, Annie Pearl Kellum, Prattville, Alabama, Fannie Mae Kitt, Chicago, IL, Virginia (Larry) Smith, Prattville, Alabama, Connie (David) Crawford, Toney, AL, Odessa Kenneth) Gordon, Prattville, AL; two brothers: Otis (Louise) Cowling, Detroit, MI and Michael (Kathy) Averhart. Darrell leaves to cherish his memories to a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and devoted friends.
