Deacon Roosevelt Steele Sr. was born on August 3, 1937, to the late Snow and Nancy Harris—Steele.
He made his earthly transition to his eternal home on Sunday, November 6, 2022.
Deacon Steele confessed Christ at an early age and joined Greater Pine Grove Baptist Church where he was a faithful member.
He is preceded in death by his lovely wife, Mrs. Mary Andrews Steele; sisters, Annie Pearl Smith, and Bertha Davis; brothers, Clinton Steele, Bob Steele, Walter Steele Sr., Jim Steele, Sammie Lee Steele and Norman Steele.
Deacon Steele loved being surrounded by his children and grandchildren. Whenever you saw them, he wasn't too far behind. His favorite pastime was sports. He loved watching Alabama Football, Pittsburg Steelers and the LA Lakers. We will always hold these memories close to our hearts.
