Rushie Lee Wright, affectionately known as Rush, was born on November 21, 1936 as the eighth child of Henry Wright and Bertha Davis Wright.
Rush attended Friendship Elementary School and the Autauga County Training School of Autaugaville, AL. He confessed Christ as his Savior and was baptized at the Friendship Missionary Baptist Church. He was a member of the United States Navy. After the Navy, Rush moved to Detroit, MI; then to Cleveland, OH; and later returned home to Alabama.
Rush was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters and five brothers.
He leaves to cherish his memories: one brother and his caregiver, McCluster (Gwendolyn) Wright of Montgomery, AL; one sister, Pearl Minor, of Austell, GA; two sisters in love, Josephine Wright of Montgomery, AL and caregiver Mary Wright of Prattville, AL; one step-daughter, Tammy Mays of Cleveland, OH; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
