Ruthie Brown entered internal peace on Friday, June 28, 2024, at Vaughn Medical Center in Selma, Alabama. She was a caretaker during her life where she provided love and care for others.
Ruthie Mae Brown was born July 24, 1945, to the late Mariah (Mary) and Clifton Brown.
In her early years she was a member of the Old Kingston Baptist Church, Prattville, Alabama.
Later in life she joined the First Prattville SDA Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband Yancy, sister Lula Bell Brown and Reba Durden.
She leaves to cherish her memories: one niece Lois Bent (New Jersey) two great nephews Mitchell Goodson (Hannah) and Michael Bent (Marisa), two great-great nephews Xavier Goodson, Mitchell H. Goodson and two great-great nieces Zayah Goodson and Mariah Bent from New Jersey and a host of cousins, relatives, and friends.
Honorable mention: Her cousins, Reverend George E. Brown and Deacon Isiah Brown who were pillars in her life towards the end in making sure all her needs were met.
