Sarah (Houston) Martin

Sarah Louise Martin was born in Prattville, Alabama to Sarah Houston and William Davis who both preceded her in death.

Sarah was educated in Prattville, Alabama and graduated from North Highland High School in 1969.

Sarah relocated to Chicago, Illinois in the early 70’s and lived for approximately 23 years until she returned to Prattville in 1993.

Sarah accepted Christ at an early age and was a member of Water Oak Grove Baptist Church.

Sarah married David Martin and they lived happily for 33 years until her death.

Sarah was a very kind and loving person. She had a way of finding humor in life’s situations. She was loved by all.

Sarah’s two brother’s George and Lutrell both preceded her in death.

Sarah departed this life on Monday July 26, 2021. Sarah leaves to cherish her memories, her beloved husband of 33 years, David Martin; her daughter: Rachelle (David); her son: Isiah Jr. (Angelic); her grandchildren Isiah III, Jade, Nekia, Bria, Tariq, Azabriel and Brianna; her 2 great- grandsons Adrian and Akai; 2 stepsons, Arthur (Ju-Boote) and Corey; 6 step- grandchildren; 1 step- great granddaughter; her sisters and brothers, Johnny Lee, Rosa Mae (Milton), Mary, OlieBell, Viola, Callie ( Jeff), June, Thomas and Winston; her sister/ brothers- in- law, Carolyn (Willie), Geraldine, Eddie Ree, Eric, Metric, Sandra (Elijah), Charlie (Angela), Brenda (Leon) and Cheryl; and s host of in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Sarah is now resting in the arms of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
