A TIME TO BE BORN
Mother Sarah J. White-Motley a resident of Autuagaville was born April 21, 1936 the fifth child of the late Solomon White, Sr. and the late Maggie L. Howard White. Two Sisters, Julia Debardelaben and Mary Caver and two brothers SL. White, Sr and Solomon White, Sr. preceded her in death.
A TIME TO SERVE
Mother Sarah J. White-Motley confessed Christ at an early age at Bethesda Missionary Baptist Church. While at Bethesda she taught BTU, was a Deaconess as well as assisted on many occasions with Vacation Bible School. She along with Minister Evelyn Williams established the Reach and Touch Ministry at her home in Autuagaville, AL where many souls gave their life to Christ. She later joined and incorporated her Ministry with the Father Son and Holy Ghost Church under the leadership of the late Bishop Baker and Bishop Algie Morgan.
A TIME TO LEARN AND EARN
Mother Motley attended Independence School in Independence, AL and Autauga County Training School, she later received her GED under the tutorial of Mrs. Elizabeth Graber, she went on to graduate from The Autauga County Health Care Educational Institute to receive her CNA.
She was employed as a Domestic Housekeeper for many years working in Prattville, AL. Thereafter, she was employed with Crystal Lake Manufacturing, Continental Moss & Gordon and with the State of Alabama through the Autauga County Home Health Aide Services.
A TIME TO LOVE
Sarah J. White married Benjamin F. Motley, Sr. on July 27, 1952 they treasured that loving bond for 49 years until he passed on August 3, 1991. To this Union of matrimony of 49 years two Sons and two daughters were born.
A TIME TO MOURN
Four children, Quentin (Betty) Motley, Benjamin (Karen) Motley, Dianne (Jimmy) Thomas, Carolyn Maddox. One child and one stepchild preceded her in death, Dorothy Pickett and Dianne Motley Love Thomas. Ten Grandchildren, Stephen, Stanley, LaTicia, Quenshauna, Bennetta, Valaria, Daniel, Yolanda LaQuinta and Antoinette. Nine Great Grandchildren, Jayla, Marques, Matthew, Malachi, Lauren, Emory, Avery, Curtis and Emersyn. One Sister, Annie K. White and one Brother Jacob C. White. Five Sisters-n-laws, Louise Motley, Betty Bacon, Bertha Miller, Katie White, Ophelia White and a host of Cousins, Neices and Nephews. Goddaughter, Bennie Ruth Adams.
