Shawn Smith, Sr.

Shawn Smith, Sr. was born May 23, 1970 to Annie L. Smith and the late J.D. Gardner, Jr.  

He joined Bethlehem CME Church in Prattville, Alabama at an early age.  He graduated from Sidney Lanier High School in 1990 and joined the Navy where he served in San Diego, California.  He was preceded in death by his brother Gregory Smith of Huntsville, Alabama; father-in-law Lincoln (Billy) Shoaf, San Diego, California and brother-in-law Donnie Shoaf, San Diego, California.  

He leaves     to cherish his loving memories his wife, Roxanne Smith, San Diego, California, mother Annie Lee Smith of Montgomery, Alabama;  mother-in-law Florence Shoaf, San Diego, California;  two children Shawn Smith, Jr. (Marlene) and Ashanti Smith, both of Montgomery, Alabama;  two sisters Donna Gardner of North Carolina and Alma Gardner of Indianapolis, Indiana; three brothers Tyrone Stoudemire of Prattville, Alabama, Richard Williams of Louisville, Kentucky and Stephan Kitt of Chicago, Illinois.

He also leaves to cherish his memories two aunts and one uncle Mary Leslie of Prattville, Alabama, Georgine Smith of Oxon Hill, Maryland and Charles (Rita) Smith of Chicago, Illinois along with a host of special aunts, nieces, nephew, cousins and friends.
