Shelia Louise Underwood

Ms. Shelia Louise Underwood was born August 22, 1959 in Prattville, AL to the late Thelma  Underwood Trotter and John Frank Trotter.

She accepted Christ at an early age.

She attended Prattville High School and completed her studies with a General Education Diploma.

Shelia worked hard many days doing what she loved, cooking for family, friends and customers.

She devoted her entire life to caring for her family and friends.

Shelia was a free spirit that loved and cared for anyone she encountered.  

In her later years, Shelia grew closer to Christ allowing her light and love for Him and people to shine until she was called home.

On the evening of January 3, 2021, Shelia transitioned into Glory.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Santresha Underwood Moore; one sister, Sharon Underwood-Johnson and two nephews, Marcus Davis and Derrick Johnson.

Shelia leaves to cherish her memories: one loving daughter, Takela Underwood; one faithful son, Devonte' Powell and two caring grandchildren, Andre Gary and Jocelyn Moore.

She leaves two sisters, Lindell Underwood Perry (Willie) and Vicky Underwood Toles (Curbie) and three brothers, Christopher Underwood, John (Pep) Underwood  (Jennifer) and Timothy Trotter (Nikki).

She also leaves one supportive best friend, Connie Carr and one devoted cousin, Lizer Kirksey  (Darrell) ; one special great-nephew, Michael (MJ) Farrier; fifteen nieces and nephews; fourteen great-nieces and nephews; one great-great nephew and a host of cousins, friends and loved ones.
