Mrs. Victoria Wells - Merriweather was born January 17, 1959 in Autauga County to Paul Wells and Ella Mae Wells. On November 4, 2020, she went home to be with the Lord.
She was preceded in death by her parents, granddaughter, Lavia Wells; sister, Ruby Hall; brothers Garrett Wells, and Willie Wells.
She was the youngest of the nine Wells children and she would let everyone know she was the baby.
She confessed Christ at an early age and joined the Pleasant Hill A.M.E. Church. Vickie enjoyed singing in the choir and would often lead songs. She later joined First Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend Fred Gray. She was a faithful member and took great pride in her service on the Usher Board. She served there until her death.
Vickie retired from the Autauga County Board of Education. She was a hard worker and was loved by her co-workers and students. Vicki had a great sense of humor and would always make you laugh. she was known to break out in song at any moment she was talking to you.
She leaves to cherish her memories her daughter, Dionne (Cedric) Harrison; grandson, Derek Lowery; sisters, Leanna Daniels, Pauline Wells, Christine (Eddie) Brooks, and Mary Roberts; brother, Charles (Mary) Wells, brothers-in-law, Maurice Merriweather and Charles Wilson, a special friend, Bruce Whitaker, a mother-figure, Mrs. Ruthie Wills; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
