William was born to Grady and Laura Brantley on December 11, 1948 and to know William, was to love him. He was a loving and caring brother, nephew, cousin, and friend to many. He was a father figure to his four youngest siblings, and helped Mama take care of us. We didn’t 't have much but we were wealthy with love and in spirit, we had all we needed thanks to our brother and God in heaven. William supported each of us, in every phase of our lives and he adored his nieces and nephews; there was nothing he wouldn't do for them. His smile was infectious, William was lighthearted and could make you laugh no matter what was going on around you. Even in poor health he maintained his sense of humor. Our dear brother will be remembered for his generous heart, easy smile, and the quiet, humble way he lived and loved all people. As he is laid to rest, we are mindful to thank God for the grace and mercy he showed William until the very end, and we thank Him for every day We had together.
