Mr. Willie Lewis Cheeks (Bro Stroke) was born September 8, 1945 to the late Lewis and Mary F. Gibbons Cheeks in Autauga County. He departed this life on January 10, 2020. He accepted Christ at an early age and joined Pink Lily Missionary Baptist Church. Throughout his years he was Jack of all trades. Working various types of trades, for many years he was employed by Bridge Creek Cabinet Shop.
He was preceded in death by brothers: William Cheeks, Lawrence Cheeks, Terry Cheeks, Dwayne Cheeks, and Larry Tyus, Sister Rosa Gibson, and Phyllis Butler. He leaves to cherish his memories a loving wife Thelma Cheeks, and son Edward L. Cheeks (Montgomery, AL). Four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren, Brothers: Bobby Cheeks (Montgomery, AL) Wayne and Dondrea Cheeks (Prattville, AL) Sister Etheleen Tucker (Syracuse, NY) Della George, Gloria Storey, Juliet Brown and Latonya McCummings (Prattville, AL). Several brother-in-laws, and sister-in-laws, two aunts and a host of nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.
