Willie Mae (Clay) Robinson

February 15, 1935 ~ October 26, 2020 (age 85)

Obituary

Mrs. Willie Mae Robinson was born on February 15, 1935, to the late Rosie Coleman and Willie Savage.

On Monday, October 26th, 2020 at Prattville Baptist Hospital she took her final rest and received well deserved, "Peace".

Will confessed her belief in Jesus and became a member of Pilgrim Rest Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. Harris she also still served under Rev. Willie Marvin and Rev. and Rev. Robert King, Jr.  She proudly filled the role of First Lady to the love of her life Rev. Robert L. Robinson, she served in all the churches where he was elected as pastor.

September 1999, Cornerstone Christian Ministry was started by Rev. Robert L. Robinson and First Lady Willie Mae Robinson.  Rev. Edward Chappell is currently the pastor of Cornerstone Christian Ministry.  Sister Robinson reunited with Cornerstone Christian Ministry where she was a faithful member, Sunday school teacher and musician.  During the month of March 2020, Covid-19 pandemic virus forced the church doors to close, but still she would sing so beautifully using her strong soprano voice, in addition to playing the piano using her abundance gift of musical wisdom that she was blessed with.

She was very talented, a seamstress, a good cook, a flower designer, in fact she was was a go-getter.  She enjoyed working in her flower beds, shopping, listening to gospel music, watching television, and talking with family and friends, often it would be difficult during a conversation to get a word in while talking with "Will", "Mother Dear", "Nana" or "Aunt Willie Mae".

Will was preceded in death by one daughter, Marilyn Clay, two sisters, Rosemary Williams and Chappell, three brothers, Willie Savage, Earl Coleman and Robert Coleman and a beautiful granddaughter, Trelisa Nicole Clay.

Precious memories will be forever cherished in the hearts of those who loved her; her husband, Rev. Dr. Robert L.
