Mr. Henry Farris a resident of Prattville, Alabama passed away Wednesday, April 19, 2017 at UAB Hospital Birmingham, Alabama.  Funeral services will be held Monday, April 24, 2017 at 11am from First Missionary Baptist Church - 192 7th Street Prattville, Alabama with Rev. Fred A. Gray, Pastor officiating.  Burial to follow at Pink Lily Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery, Prattville,Alabama. 

Mr. Henry Farris, Jr. was born on March 1, 1934 in   Prattville, AL to the late Lugenia Kelly Farris and Henry  Farris, Sr. On March 23, 1984, he married Alice Davis-  Farris, the daughter of the late Myrtle Lee Davis; they  were married for 33 years. To that reunion one son was born, Kevin Farris. He accepted Christ later in his life at  First Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Fred Gray.

  "Henry" served on the deacon board and was also a member of the Male and Senior Choir. He was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather, uncle and brother in-law. On April 19, 2017, God called his child home.

 He was preceded in death by son Henry Farris; sister   Marion Stoudmire and nephew Carlton Houser.

 He leaves to cherish his wonderful memories a loving and devoted wife Alice Davis-Farris; one son Kevin Farris of Prattville, AL; five daughters Jacqueline Farris,  Jennie Farris, Patricia Farris, Mary Farris, and Barbara  (Rodney) Farris-Thomas, all of Montgomery, AL; sisters Daisy (Wymond) Williams of Elizabeth Town, Kentucky; Neva of Indianapolis, Indiana; a dedicated and faithful sister-in-law Bobby Ann Rogers;  Clementine (Johnny) Kitt; Doris Bates; Patricia Davis, all of Prattville, AL; brother-in-law Sylvester Davis of Prattville, AL

 He also leaves to cherish his memories 13 grandchildren, two who were devoted Verlin Farris and Herman Farris; 35 greatgrandchildren, 10 great-greatgrandchildren all of Montgomery, AL. He also had a devoted nephews Jerry  Rogers of Prattville, AL, Earl and Herman Houser of San  Bedno, CA; a devoted niece, Belinda (Rev. James)  Watson of Sand Bedno, CA, along with a host of other relatives and friends.
