Mr. Robert L. Brown a resident of Marbury, Alabama passed away Monday, October 9, 2017 at Baptist Medical Center South.  Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 14, 2017 at 11am from Old Kingston Missionary Baptist Church, 963 County Road 40 West Prattville, Alabama with Rev. Ben Carter Pastor and Pastor Richard Brown officiating.  Burial to follow at Old Kingston Cemetery.                                                    


Robert Lee Brown was born May 9, 1939 to the late Mr. Arch and Lillie Pearl Brown in Marbury, Alabama.  He departed his life on October 9, 2017 at Baptist Medical Center South.  He confessed to Christ at an early age and joined Old Kingston Missionary Baptist Church in Prattville, Alabama.  He attended Browntown School in Marbury, Alabama.  He united in Holy Matrimony to the late Sallie Mae DeRamus on August 16, 1957.  In this union, 5 Children were born.  Robert was self-employed doing concrete work for several years.  Once he reached the age of retirement, he stsrted selling vegetables and fruits to the community and other surrounding areas.  He is truly going to be missed by them.  He also enjoyed helping in the community.  He preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Sallie Mae DeRamus-Brown, 4 brothers, 1 sister, 2 sons, Eugene Brown and James Edward Brown, and daughter, Barbara Ann Nash.  He leaves cherished memoies to: 3 sons, Johnny (Claudy) Brown of Verbena, Alabama, Rev. Richard (Rosemary) Brown of Riverdale, Georgia, Norman (Brenda Sue) Laister of Plantersville, Alabama; 2 sisters, Dorothy (James) Harrington of Prattville, Alabama, Ola Mae Leonard of Birmingham, Alabama, 24 grandchildren; 15 greatgrandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
