Deacon Robert Earnest Motley age 82, a resident of Prattville, Alabama passed away Sunday, August 26, 2018 at his residence.  Funeral service will be held Saturday, September 1, 2018 at 1:30pm from Bethesda Missionary Baptist Church, 764 County Road 33 Prattville , Alabama with Rev. Anton Trimble ,Pastor officiating.  Burial to follow at Bethesda Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery.

                                                                                        The Obituary

Robert was born on April 11, 1936 to the late Bozie and Nellie Crawford Motley.  He was the youngest and last surviving sibling of this union.   He joined the Bethesda Missionary Baptist Church at an early age and remained there until his death.  He was a deacon and a member of the Trustee Board.

He was married to Louise Motley on October 22, 1955.  To this union 5 children were born; Telma Dean, Daurice Motley and Edgar Motley, all of Prattville, AL; Maurice Motley of Hinesville, GA and the late Sylvester Motley of Tallahassee, FL.  He was a loving father and grandfather.  He was a hard worker and love to have fun.

He leaves his cherish memories a loving wife of 63 years, 4 children, Maurice (Alfreda) Motley of Hinesville, GA, Thelma Dean, Daurice Motley and Edgar Motley, all of Prattville, AL.  He also leaves to cherish his memories his grandchildren Kimberly (Julian) McKinney and Anisha Dean both of Prattville, AL; Erica Mills of Cleveland, OH, Keana Taylor of Colorado Springs, CO, Maurice Motley, Jr. of Hinesville, GA, Michael Dean, Jr. of Las Vegas, NV, Quentaruius Daniels of Prattville, AL and Eldridge Tyus of Autaugaville, AL.  He also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
