Mr. Walter L. Tyus age 54, a resident of Autaugaville, Alabama passed away Tuesday, September 18, 2018 at Jackson Hospital.  Funeral Service will be held Saturday, September 22, 2018 at 11am from United Christian Church, 1187 Upper Kingston Road Prattville, Alabama with Rev. Thaylee Dickerson, Pastor officiating.  Burial to follow at Bethesda Missionary Baptist Church, 764 County Road 33 Prattville, Alabama. 

                                                                                                OBITUARY

Walter Lee Tyus born on July 6, 1964 in Cleveland, Ohio to Mr. & Mrs. Essie and Elaine Tyus.  He departed this life September 18, 2018.  Walter joined Bethesda Missionary Baptist Church at an early age.  He later joined United Christian Church where he became a Deacon, and remained a member until death.  He graduated from Autaugaville High School with the Class of 1984.

He was preceded in death by his parents Mr. & Mrs. Essie and  Elaine Tyus and grandparents Mr. & Mrs. Luzell and Mariah Tyus and brother Christopher Tyus.

He leaves to cherish his memories: A loving wife, Arnitha Tolliver-Tyus; three step-children:   Andrea, Ameltria and Christopher of  Autaugaville, AL; one brother: Johnathan (Beverly) Tyus of Montgomery, AL, two sisters: Adele Bonner of Detroit, MI and Karen (Curtis) Tyus of Montgomery, AL;  four grandchildren Alexander, Alexea, Zachariah, and Carson: four nephews: Christian Tyus, of Prattville, AL, Aaron Jones, Treylon Tyus both of Montgomery, AL, and Terrence (Bernice) Bonner  of Detroit, MI, two nieces, DeQuana Tyus of Prattville, AL, and Sarafina Tyus of Montgomery, AL; four great nieces: Paris, Paisley and Khandyce all of Montgomery, AL, and Nyla of Detroit, MI; two great nephews: Kaden of Montgomery, AL and Terrance Jr. of Detroit, MI; two uncles : Walter Cutler, Jr. of Prattville, AL, and Willie (Odesta) Tyus of Detroit, MI, four Aunts: Corene DeRamus of Buena Vista, CA; Calray McNeil of Detroit, MI, Clementine Nunn of Autaugaville, AL, and Voncile Smith of Prattville, AL; special John Smith, and special cousin Paula Cutler and a host of cousins, loving friends and extended family.
