Mr. John Wesley Parker age 82 a resident of Billingsley, Alabama passed away Thursday, April 4, 2019 at his residence.  Funeral service will be held Saturday, April 13, 2019 at 10am from New Harmony Baptist Church, 970 County Road 45 North Autaugaville, AL with Rev. Burris Williams, Pastor.  Burial to follow at Locust Bluff United Methodist Church Cemetery, 2110 Alt County Road 21 North Prattville, Alabama.

                                                                                                   The Obituary

John Wesley Parker, affectionally known as  "Bubba"  was the second child of seven children, born to the last Ernest and Sarah Bell Parker on February 12, 1937, in Billingsley, Alabama.

On Thursday, April 4, 2019 a loving husband , father, grandfather, brother, and dear friend answered his master's call.  John was a member of New Harmony Baptist Church.  He attended faithfulness until his health failed ten years ago.

John was preceded in death by his parents, sisters: Doris Nell Parker, Evelyn Burns, and Loraine Ragin, ex-wife Lillie Pearl Wright Parker.

John was educated in Autauga and Chilton counties public schools.  John drove the school bus for both school district.  After graduating from high school, he traveled north to seek employment and a better life for himself.  After his retirement, he moved back home to Billingsley, AL.

John leaves behind to cherish a legacy of his memories, forever his beloved wife, Zelma Rhodes Armstrong-Parker, three daughters, Phylecia Rhodes - Parker (CA), Karen Parker (AL), Gwendolyn Parker (MI), one stepson, Dwight Armstrong (CA), one sister, Earnestine Tyus (MI); one brother-in-law, Joseph Rhodes (MI).  He also leaves to cherish his memories, two grandchildren: Damien and Jeszica Williams (CA), two brothers: Charlie (Judith) Parker, Jessie (Willie Francis) Parker, and a host of relatives and friends.

Deepest condolences to the Parker family. Find comfort in God's word where HE promises to do away with pain, suffering and death. Also John 5:28,29 where he promises to bring back to life those who have fallen asleep in death.
